hey guys so today I’m gonna write about coldplay. Coldplay is one of my favourite bands and i love them sooooo muchhhhh. I’ve always wanted to go to their concerts and even when global citizen was happening i had ny exams ;(

Coldplay is a British band formed in the year 1996. Its lead vocalist and pianist is Chris Martin followed by guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman and drummer Will Champion. These four four friends met at the University College London from 1996-1998. They changed their name of the band from Pectoralz to Starfish and finnally to coldplay. They are one the most successful bands until now and have a huge fan base a over the world. This world wide fame was after they released their song called yellow followed by their debut album parachutes which was nominated by mercury prize. The band’s second album, A Rush of Blood to the Head (2002), was released to critical acclaim and won many awards, including NME’s Album of the Year. Their next release, X&Y the best-selling worldwide in 2005, received mostly positive reviews, though some critics felt it was inferior to its predecessor. Their other albums viva la Vida ( live your life to the fullest) or death and all his friends and Mylo xyloto were equally successful world-wide. Their other albums were ghost stories and A head Full of dreams. Four years later, in November 2019, they released their eighth album, Everyday Life, which received mainly positive reviews. Coldplay have won numerous awards throughout their career, including nine Brit Awards, six MTV Video Music Awards, seven MTV Europe Music Awards and seven Grammy Awards from 29 nominations.[7] They have sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the world’s best-selling music artists. One of the best thing about coldplay is their concerts. They are just so amazing that one would not wanna miss them. Especially performances such a viva la Vida or fix you tears up the audience. Their concert’s has their fans so much involved. They also performed at the global citizen in India and have also shoot the video of one of their best songs hymn for the weekend along with Beyonce and has a small part of actor Sonam Kapoor. Their single something just like this featuring the chainsmokers was a massive hit. Although chainsmokers are EDM band the end part of the song’s music is by the members of Coldplay, with Chris Martin singing ofcourse. Coldplay have supported various social and political causes, such as Oxfam’s Make Trade Fair campaign and Amnesty International. They have also performed at charity projects, including Band Aid 20, Live 8, Global Citizen Festival, Sound Relief, Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief, One Love Manchester, The Secret Policeman’s Ball, Sport Relief and the UK Teenage Cancer Trust.
