Till the last post you would have seen K-pop groups disbanding after 5-6 years after the debut to pursue their solo career, today we are going to see this 6 members who still promote as a whole group even after 21 years of a rough history. Frankly, out of all the first generation idols Shinhwa is almost always the role model for the juniors as they are still rocking the entertainment industry.

Shinhwa debuted in 1998 with SM entertainment as a second act of H.O.T but received commercial failure with their debut album and was rumored to consider disbandment but lucky for them and us, their sophomore album was a hit and they set their own identity in the industry.

As their contract expired in 2003 with SM, all the members except Dongwan were given a contract for renewal. Due to this, the group signed with Good entertainment as a whole group and entered a court case against SM to retain the usage of their group name SHINHWA. The group, fortunately, won the case in 2015 after 12 years of legal battle.

SHINHWA took a small hiatus from the industry as each member enlisted for the mandatory military service and returned back again as a group making them the first group to come together after the military service, but this time they didn’t sign with Good entertainment instead they established their own company SHINHWA entertainment with 2 members as co-CEOs and rest of them as shareholders. This company now manages the group’s activities and they still work as 6 members and bring amazing music to this world.
