They were the first girl group ever and they began their career in SM entertainment. They had an avid rivalry with groups like Fin.K.L. and Baby V.O.X who also found great popularity and success simultaneously.

Yet they are referred to as the “nation’s fairies” and we’re the first to debut among other groups. Their debut album “I’m your girl” sold 650,000 copies at that time and stayed on top of the charts for 13-14weeks consecutively. They started the girl group movement and are considered as deep motivation and inspiration to the current generation.

They disbanded in 2002 due to an unsuccessful contract renewal with SM entertainment. They came together after 20 years in 2016 to produce more amazing tracks and they released an album in January of 2017 under SM Entertainment. So it suffices to say that they are still active even after the 20-year break.
