• This great Chinese-American composer was born in 1955.

• Since the age of four he had been learning piano and was extremely talented.

• Later in 1995 he moved to America and eventually joined the faculty at the University of Michigan.

• He has been many things in this journey with music , an artistic director, a composer in residence and, a professor(associate professor of music).

• I personally feel like his greatest achievements were the multiple Pulitzer Prizes.
