• Officially known as Edward Benjamin Britten, Baron Britten, he was born in 1913.

• He was the central figure in the 20th century for classical music in Brittain. Whereas, he also worked on orchestras, Operas .etc.

• His father was a dentist, and be didn’t quite have any family influence, but he was know to be great in the field of music from a young age.

• One of his ambitions was to become the “fourth-B” as in, after Beethoven, Bach and Brahms.

• He has received several prestigious awards, among which two Grammy awards and an award from the UNESCO are a few.

• It seemed only perfect to end the first week of musicians in 1980-90 with this great artist!
