Fiction Factory were a Scottish new wave band from Perth. Formed in 1983.

The new band comprised Kevin Patterson, Chic Medley, Eddie Jordan, Grant Taylor, Graham Mc Gregor and Mike Ogletree.

They are best known for their single “(Feels Like) Heaven”, which peeked at #6 on the UK Singles Chart.

However they were destined to be one-hit-wonders as they never built on that initial momentum. Infact both albums that they made,’Throw the Warped Wheel Out’ and ‘Another Story’ failed to break into the charts but were worthy efforts all the same.

The band subsequently broke up in 1978. There was a brief reunion however in 2011 when some former members reformed for the Rewind Festival in their native Perthshire.
